Yo Chef - Just south of Charleston is one of the most unique restaurants in the United States - Bowan's Island. It's a little tricky to find, but well worth the effort. Bowan's Island roast oysters. Every afternoon they gather marsh oysters from the nearby shoreline. In the evening they fire up the pit at the front of the dining room and roast oysters a burlap bag full at a time. Once done the oyster roaster scoops up a shovel full, walks them across the dining room and dumps them on the center of the table. He keeps them coming until you yell uncle and then brings another shovelfull or two just in case you were being polite. Wear old clothes. Enjoy, Holly Moore
