You may want to try "Jestine's" in Charleston, which is very casual and reasonable. The restaurant specializes in "Low Country Cooking". They have excellent fried oyster po-boys, as well as soft shell crab and shrimp. They also have about 10 different side dishes, including okra gumbo, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, fries, etc. The pecan ("Pee-can") pie is the best way to top the meal. Regards, Jim

You will also want to try Hymans downtown. They have a selction of over 3 dozen fresh fish and are wonderful. They do NOT take reservations and it is VERY popular so try to just beat dinner and just miss lunch. We hit them about 4 in the afternoon and got right in.

enjoy,

rono
