I believe they're staffed primarily by Brown and RISD students (and possibly also by bitter unemployable Humanities graduates). The last time I went to Geoff's with my overeducated True Love of the time (several years ago), it was a clash-of-the-titans spectacle of subtle exchanges. The cute, sharp-tongued, frosh-aged sandwich girl started it with a roundabout shot at my girlfriend. Then the figurative claws came out, so I just stepped back and prayed my gf wouldn't verbally maim the girl too badly. Money cannot buy that kind of entertainment. I never returned, although after my girlfriend and I parted ways, I did consider seeing if that young lady from Geoff's still worked there and if she were presently dating anyone... Good sandwiches, too. Neil
