Thanks for your help. Both in or near Isla Verde (part of San Juan near Atlantic Ocean just West of the main air port): Che's Artgentinian steak house - festive, delicious, moderate cost. 268-7507 is their phone number - address 35 Caoba Punta Casa Dante, 39 Loiza, 726-7310. Mofongo is their specialty, and the value is superb.

Thanks for your help. > Try "Don Pepe" in the Condado area of San Juan. The food is as good as it is expensive. Also, there is another restaurant called "El Teide" which is also very good and not as expensive. El Teide used to have two locations, one in Old San Juan and one in Bayamon (5 to 6 miles from San Juan). The owner, Manolito, is a good friend of my wife's family. I met him in Puerto Rico and his family while visiting Laredo, Spain. Both restaurants, Don Pepe and El Teide serve spanish cuisine. Buen Provecho! Vince
