I went umi just after it opened; I was very very impressed.
Unfortunately it was a couple months ago now so the details are
 fading.

Aside from usual a la carte, they have several variety platters, a
sushi one, a sashimi one, and a tempura one. I think they were around
$25. There were 6 of us and I think we got 5 of them and we were very
satisfied. The sushi and sashimi platters had peices that I had never
heard of before but were wonderful (I'm an avid sushi/sashimi lover,
but my ability to remember names of peices is almost nonexistant; I go
 by looks).

The miso was exsquite, and unique, but I can't remember what it was
 about it (sorry!)

The only thing that was disappointing was the salad; it was a not-so
perky collection of greens and a forgetable dressing (not the usual
dressing you get a sushi places).

Lastly, they had a ultra special, best-the-chef-has-to-offer meal for
$50 a person, minimum order of two. We didn't get it, but we were
 intrigued.

Sorry for such a vague review, but in general, we loved and I look
forward to going again. (It was not a bargin, but not outragous).
