In reference to a recent posting on the Sharp Edge: it's on St. Clair St. at
the corner of Friendship, just off Baum Blvd. near Penn Circle. It has a small
parking lot. There are really no other landmarks--it's sort of nowhere. It
has good pizza in addtion to the extensive beer selection already cited.

First, I have a bias to this post: I've been in/at/on the Edge for
about a year now. It is true, the beer selection cannot be beat, and
the new cask condition beer makes this especially true.
My friend who is a licensed attorney moonlights as a waitress there and
so I know how the service goes. On Wednesday, it is import and micro-
brew day/night so it is insanely crazy as the beermongers are thirstier
than usual. There is a regular crowd that hangs there and becomes
familiar and friendly with the staff, so there is a delay for those who
are unknown by caveat. The food is mediocre, but cheap! You should
try the steak (9 oz sirloin) or go Friday for the crabcakes however,
they are the creme de la creme of the menu. The manicotti is also
unique and tasty. The house salad is colorful, but watch the house
dressing as it is inconsistent depending on the maker.

If a sporting (particularly hockey or football) event on, the service
can get even slower depedning on if we're winning or not.

It's small and friendly neighborhood bar "where everybody knows your name"
if you only give them a chance.

Ask for Uncle Paul when you stop in. You'll be glad you did.
