Really? I went today (having checked the newsgroup before lunch) and
had a spinach pie and grape leaves. Both were mediocre, though prices
were reasonable, and I hadn't really planned to return. However, I
*love* good sleek, so I may give them another chance.

I went to Kassab's with my SO and high hopes from this group. Boy, were we
disappointed. EVERYTHING was way way oversalted, our lips were swelling
before we left, and we're no salt wimps, with 4 kinds out on the counter
 for cooking at our house.

We had the sleek, the veggie lasagna and the lamb sandwich.

sleek - nice made with spinach but high bean to green ratio... and SALTY!

lasagna - Sounded good; in practice, there WAS eggplant (OK), zucchini
(OK) and peas with square-cut carraotds that clearly came from a freezer
bag (yuk!). It was topped with cheesy mashed potatoes, a great idea except
the cheese tasted like jarred jalapeno cheese whiz... and the whole thing
 was SALTY!

Lamb sandwich - claimed to have chunks of roasted lamb, but it looked like
the stuff that falls into the catch bin after they slice the gyro thingie.
It was frittered up ground meat, dry and crunchy lumps. And, lest I
 forget, salty!

I'm sorry, I have wanted to try this place for two years, I'm never going back.

But, for those of you who love them, they are moving a few blocks up
 Carson into bigger digs. Enjoy!
