Just wanted to say ... I finally tried it ... and what a great place! Best
Chinese food I've had in the 'burgh. I had the wonton soup and broccoli with
garlic sauce -- two dishes that sometimes seem to be good indicators of what's
going on in the kitchen. Saw other dishes being served and they all looked
yummy. Yea!!! (It's also a good excuse to catch a movie at the Denis Theatre,
or shop at Amarraca, one of my favorite grocery stores in the area.)

No, they're not -- but I believe there are two Sesame Inns, one near the Denis
(on Rt 19, south of Pgh) and one right next to Amarraca (off McKnight Rd).

I've had mixed luck with the Sesame Inn. I've been there 4 or 5 times, and
sometimes the food was quite good and other times it was just OK.

The best Chinese food I've had recently was at the restaurant in Robinson
Town Center (whose name I can't now remember).

Probably Ya Fei (I think the spelling is right.) I went there a number of times years ago and was always impressed with
their non-standard take on Chinese food. Lots of dishes you just don't see other places. Thanks for the reminder - I'll
 have to go back.

Robinson Towne Center is located on the Parkway west
you get off at the big blue building called IKEA !
to find the chineese bear to your right, then to th right again
it will be on your left near sears !

I frequent the Sesame Inn located on Rt. 19 in Peters Township. I've
NEVER had a bad experience there. The wonton soup at that location is
the best I've ever tasted. I've been to the other Sesame Inn
restaurants around the area and this one is THE BEST. The wonton
soup stock is dark and hearty and loaded with lots of goodies. I
 highly recommend it to anyone.

As for the rest of the food, everything I've ever had is high quality
and always full of fresh flavor. I've been to several other chinese
restaurants, and from what I've read in the paper about a couple of
them closing down due to being caught serving "used food off other
customer's plates." makes me wonder on what the other places are like
 out there.

Give it a shot people!! Let me know what you think

Yes, Ya Fei makes shopping or going to the airport a pleasure. They do
Pacific Rim style food, so it's not your standard "chinese", and they
 have a
very intelligent wine list which complements the food quite well.

One of my favorite places to go. It may seem innocuous in it's location in
the strip mall accross from IKEA (not in the big SAM'S, etc. food court
 place),
but it's very nicely (IMO) decorated inside and all the staff are pros.
