Bombay Rama is gone, replaced by Swagath. Just opened last week.
Vegetarian buffet $5.99, I didn't have time to check it out. Had vegetable
biryani, I'm not expert, but was just what I wanted today. $2.99 for a big
 styro container.
They will supposedly be open 7 days, from 7:00AM (!) to 10:00PM. Breakfast
 - idlis & sambhar!
P.S. they don't have a preprinted menu just yet.

Just wanted to chime in about the new place... I tried it Friday
afternoon and my first experience was very positive.

I tried the chicken biryani, to go, thinking I'd try something basic to
compare with other places I tried in Oakland and was very surprised - a
much different style of cooking and the dish was much more elaborate and
 different than I'm accustomed to.

A very generous portion, especially for the price, of moist rice well
spiced with pronounced flavors of nutmeg, bay leaf with cashews, a spicy
bean of some type and more than I can remember... The rice alone
would have made a tasty satisfying meal by itself but came with a side
of chunks of white chicken meat prepared in a nice curry sauce that I
 spooned over the rice.

Like I said, much different from what I've come to think of as birayni,
but very good, I'll definitely go back, soon!
