There are a few over on the other end of the North Side, if you don't mind
a little bit of a walk or drive.

Max's Allegheny Tavern (Suismon St.) has wonderful German food. Casual
 atmosphere, good beer, decent prices.
James St. Tavern -- I've only been there once or twice. Food was okay,
nothing to stand out in my mind, though.
Rosa Villa (East Ohio I think) - Haven't been there myself, but I hear the
Italian food is pretty darn good.
Firewater's -- Kind of like Dingbat's or Ruby Tuesdays.

 My personal favorite is Max's.

DO NOT GO TO THE ROSA VILLA - THE FOOD IS ATTROCIOUS, THE DECOR TACKY
AND THE BAR SMOKEY. OTHER THAN THAT THE DRINKS ARE CHEAP AND THE
CUSTOMERS INTERESTING.....(EARTHY IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER)....WOULD
RECOMMEND THE PENN BREWERY, JAMES STREET OR MAX'S. I WOULD GO TO THE
STRIP FIRST THEN THE NORTH SIDE. TRY VAHALLA, KAYA, OR THE FOUNDRY.
