Try Fox Chapel Yacht Club. In spite of the name, the restaurant is open
to the public. It's right on the Allegheny River in O'Hara Township, a
mile or so up the river from the Highland Park Bridge. Call for
reservation and detailed directions. Request a table by the window,
 overlooking the river.

When I have out-of-town visitors, I take them to the Georgetown Inn on Mount
Washington. Good view of the point and "dahntahn", and is "reasonably priced"
(with respect to Mt. Washington restaurants.
