Has anybody ever been to th e Primadonna in McKeess Rocks? We just went there last night and it had the best Italian food I ever tasted! I had to have a doggy bag since I couldn't finish! The fried zucchini appetizers were out of this world! I had a veal dish that had shrimp in it. I've never seen such big shrimp! Try it! You'll like it!!
Pittsburgh, PA
Primadonna Restaurant
Over the last several years, we have gone to the Primadonna more than any other restaurant. A great meal each and every time. After the zucchini and a big salad, we almost always take some of the meal home. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Mike Someone wrote: > Has anybody ever been to th e Primadonna in McKeess Rocks? You'll like it!! Darn, now somebody else has found the place. It's hard enough to get a table now. Keep it quiet, please. And the next time you go, try the marinated scallops. They marinate steamed scallops in their house dressing. Somewhat adequate. The secret of being a successful programmer is to never act suprised when something works.
I just want to add my 2 cents and agree that The Primadonna is mediocre minus at best. I have eaten there more than once but never again! Could marketsolve.com perhaps have a vested interest in The Primadonna??!
Yes, exactly. I ate there once a year or two after they opened, and from the hype I had read, I expected something on a par with the New Meadow Grill (my all-time favorite Italian restaurant, formerly on Larimer Avenue in Homewood). While he was alive, the former food critic of the Post-Gazette and Evening Magazine used to lavish them with hyperbolic praise whenever he had the chance. After eating there, I concluded that they were a lot better at promotion than they were at cooking.
