The airport is around twenty miles from the stadium. If you stay downtown there is a good Italian Rest. on Ft.Pitt Bld called Picalo Picalo. Also Tambalinis rest. on 7th st is usually considered good. The hotel should be able to give you good directions. If you stay out near the airport then the choices are slim. A nice rest near the airport is Hynholds (not spelled right), but it is expensive. As far as pizza places the choices are not good in Pittsburgh. Most places are like eating at your kitchen table. The best pizza is on Ardmore Blvd not near downtown or near the airport. It is called Vincents. There is the Church Brewworks which serves wood fired pizza. It is an old church converted to a brewpub. I enjoyed the pizza there. They do have a web page. Also there is a microbrewery Penn Brewery located in a reconverted brewery that had been built in the 1880s. It is located not too far from the stadium across from the Heinz plant. Saturday night they are having my favorite German Band, Alpen Glow. They serve German food, and great beer. Hopefully you are not coming to steeler country to see the steelers beat the boncos. Tom
