My apologies to all for not giving better directions, I was to wound up
trying to describe this oh so wonderful place.

For anyone interested the details are:

OCHA Restaurant (yes, I spelled it wrong the first time)
             321 South Avenue
             Verona, PA
             828-1517
Closed Sundays( they close early on other days so check with
 them for times)

As you can tell I am not great at giving directions so just give them a
call and I'm sure they will be more helpful than myself.

To get to Verona from Oakland, take Fifth Avenue away from
downtown--follow it across Penn (where it becomes Washington Blvd) and
until it ends at Allegheny River Blvd. Turn Right on ARB. Follow until
 you come to Verona.

However, I don't know how to get to the resturant once you get there.....

So the restaurant is in Verona. How does one get to Verona from Oakland?

OCHA is near the Little Ceasar's which is right on the main drag
(Allegheny River Blvd) in Verona. Turn left at LC's, OCHA is on the
 right.

I had dinner there last night. I asked for Pad Prik Bai Grapao Gai
which I couldn't find on the menu and they did a pretty good job with
it. I think they skimped on the flavors, though, since I don't look
 Asian.

The Tom Yum had good flavor, and sufficient fish sauce, but was very
mild. The Gang Kiew Wan was also somewhat bland and I think the beef
was pressed sliced reconstituted minute steak-umms.

The way I learned to make Thai food, you chop the peppers up in little
bits so the flavor blends through the whole dish. OCHA had the
peppers in the dish, whole, probably so us white folks could pick them
 out more easily...

Also, everything seemed a bit too salty. I think I've had that happen
when I use the wrong kind of soy sauce.

SUMMARY: I'll probably go again soon and see if I have passed muster
and qualify for the real thing, now. But based solely on my initial
experience, I probably would stick with the Siamese Balcony or My
Ngoc (their vietnamese-style thai is better than chinese-style thai),
if only because they're much closer to my house. If I lived in
Oakmont or Verona, I'd probably eat there instead of trekking in to
Pittsburgh. Verona seems like a tough venue for a Thai/Chinese
restaurant which doesn't offer General Tso's Kentucky Fried Chicken
 McNuggets.
