The East End Co-op serves a very simple, slightly hippy-dippy, but
very good brunch and lunch. They use top-quality ingredients. The
 ambiance is very casual.

Nina's - my favorite "nice" restaurant in Pittsburgh

Cafe Soba - Pittsburgh's version of hip and happening, with very interesting
 Asian-inspired food

Udipi (in Monroeville) - excellent South Indian food
