I ordered a chicken and veggie dish (don't remember the name), but while the chicken and seasoning were OK, the veggies looked and tasted like they came of of a Birdseye Frozen Carrots/Peas bag. I am not a big fancier of Asian/Eastern cuisine's, but this was not impressive.

Mongolian in Oakland?
Doug, You are probably referring to Liu's Garden in Wexford which is now defunct. That's why we're all looking for a new one to feed our habits! Kate

I've been there quite a number of times and really love certain dishes, while certain other ones have given me the same impression the previous poster had. For an appetizer, the Shogok Khaza, cold nicely spiced potatoes on a bed of spinach, is very nice, especially with the "spicy stuff" that they give you with your meal. I don't know what the "spicy stuff" is but it's quite good in small quantities. For dinner, I like their curries, all of which are good and go very mild on the curry powder and spiciness.
