I got 3 or 4 responses to my query, each giving me a different name :) My wife had called for reservations, since we heard that is was a very small place. They said that they weren't going to take reservations since they had gotten burned by some no-shows the night before, but they took ours anyway. We got there last night, byob in hand, but there wasn't any sign of our reservation, and no table reserved. They pushed 2 small tables together for the 3 of us in the front of the restaurant, just near the kitchen and front door, near where the old folks could comment on our food as they passed by. They do offer take-out, though. The appetizers were small and not terribly special (we had some grilled vegetables and a salmon thing). Same with the salads (a nice selection of greens, but small). The entrees, however, had plenty of specialness. I had grilled shrimp on a bed of spinach, which was really good, though small. My wife had a delicious risoto with calamari and octopus, and our friend had a pasta with shellfish thing that was good too. It's a good thing that I wasn't full from my meal, so I could enjoy a tiramisu. Excellent. All in all, a good experience, but a bit pricey and you've got to plan wisely to get a table. We spent a lot, left without being full, but were satisfied purely because of the quality of the food. ken . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ken mohnkern webmaster: www.ri.cmu.edu carnegie mellon university, pittsburgh pa http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~kem "do what you're doing."
