Pittsburgh, PA

just ate at Bachri's

 Hi!

Friday night we had dinner at Bachri's, in Castle Shannon. It was very good.
I have seen a post or two that says they're not "authentic", but I liked the
food whether it is authentic or not. The servings were enough to fill you
up without being huge or tiny, the price was reasonable, service friendly
and... it's in the Entertainment Book, so how big can the risk be?

I also like the fact that it's BYOB, I love a crispy chardonnay with spicy
 asian food.

If any specialists would care to enlighten me on the possible "missing elements"
for my own education, I'd love to hear it, but... it won't stop me from
going back. I found it to be good food at good prices, and it satisfied my
desire for spicy (not chinese) food. I'm not too sure of the differences
between Thai & Indonesian, but I liked the flavors in the sauces at Bachri's.

I like Oriental Balcony in Squirrel Hill too, if that helps. I like spicy but
 not death wish food.

My main reason for posting is that there were very few people there at 8pm
on Friday, perhaps because East Pittsburgh tends to be the place to eat out.
Whatever the reason, I think you should give it a try.

 Just my .02 cents,

 Christine
