Yes. It is called Shree Foods on the main street. Went there
a few months back. It is a very small family run eats place.
It features South Indian Cuisine. Dosas, Idlis, Rice, Sambar
Chutneys and pickles. It targets "cost-conscious" diners.
Mainly self serve. Side dishes were on the side bars.
Some of them free. Some not.

The menu is very much limited. He makes fixed quantities of a
few items and scracthes them off the menu as they run out.
The day I went he had, {1. masala dosa, 2. pesarat (a variant
of dosa) 3. Samosas 4. vadas 5. spinach curry and rice 6.
some spicy dhal and rice}. The list changes everyday.

Quality of food was decent, portions were a wee bit on the
skimpier side. Generally felt like home-cooked food.

Get this: My friend tells me he runs a high tech operation on
the internet and email! Accepts packed lunch orders by email
and brings them to UPitt parking lot for distribution. I did see
a fossilized vt100 terminal incongruously behind the pickles
bar. So it could be true.

So the key words here are: Limited Choice, Lower Cost, South
Indian (andhra to be precise). Paper plates, Plastic spoons and
       styrofoam cups.

       I would go there again.
