Went to the India Garden on Atwood last Saturday for their lunch buffet. They have a reasonable selection of veg and non-veg entrees, a couple of appetizers and two or three desserts. The quality and taste of the food was quite good, and way better than most of the North Indian fare I have had at Indian restaurants in Pgh. The cost of the buffet is $6.95+tax. The menu was: -naan tandoori chicken chicken curry goat curry two veggie dishes a lentil dish rice "chana - bhatura", which I guess roughly translates into a garbanzo bean dish to be had with fried tortillas. a couple of salads two desserts - rice pudding and "malai" burfi. Pop, tea or coffee, or any other drinks are extra. This place seems to be quite popular with Indians, judging by their clientele. I'd go there again. Apparently, the goat curry and "chana-bhatura" are served every Saturday, and dosas are served on the buffet on Sundays.

There is also one in Monroeville.... they *could* spice some of the things up a bit.... Jeremiah McAuliffe [email removed] Visit Dr. Jihad! Really, it was good? I used to go there every single week for the past 2 or 3 years, but as of about 6 months ago, I started noticing a marked decline in quality. Not just in food, but in things like opening late, etc. I also started noticing that fewer people were coming in at the lunch rush, so I assumed that I wasn't just imagining the change. Has anyone else noticed this? And if so, have things indeed improved? I've stopped going there, but I'd love to start again if things are looking up. Cheryl
