The name of the restaurant is Jozsa Corner.

Jozsa Corner is truly one of Pittsburgh's dining treasures. I've been
wanting to post about it for a long time, but haven't got around to it.

Basically, it is a restaurant run by a Hungarian-American whose name is
Jozsa. It is, quite literally, a one-man show.

I went there one winter evening with a friend, not knowing anything
about the place. Inside the front door is a diner like establishment,
it is very tiny and behind the counter is Jozsa. Basically, there is a
menu but Jozsa will accomodate any kind of requirement, including
vegetarian. The food is Hungarian, spicy and made in front of you.
While you are eating will probably enter into an intense discussion with
Jozsa about Hungarian culture. Jozsa is a Hungarian Culture clearing-house
 of information.

As for food, I remember having some kind of vegetable stew with dumplings.
If you are familiar with the Czech food, the dumplings were the Hungarian
equivalent of knedlicky. There is plenty of excellent homemade bread
available too. The food was fabulous and unlike anything else in Pittsburgh.
It is also very inexpensive, especially considering the quality.

I think Jozsa operates by talking with you about food and then gauging what
your likes and dislikes are and improvising on the spot.

He also has a reservations-only upstairs room for elegant dining, but I
never went there (yet). Anyways, the place is VERY tiny and can't accomdate
very many people, so it is best to call and make a reservation first.

The address is 4805 Second Ave
It is located near the LTV steel mill, close to the giant pipe that spews
 out flames.

 The phone number is 422-1886
