Zaw's (entrees, not the soup) can be very different I found. Sometimes
real enjoyable, and sometimes very disappointing.

Well, we certainly like it. Maybe that's because it's more compatible
with a European's palate, rather than being authentic? I never/hardly
ever had Chinese food in Germany, before coming to Pittsburgh, and the
first "exotic food" I liked was Dumpling House's. That's, of course, MHO
 ;-)

I don't know if you meant exclusively in downtown or Sq. Hill, but I
like the soup at Evergreen out on Route 22. Their hot and sour soup has
plenty of tofu, and brown fungus (i forget the type - "cloud ear"?) and
a very nice broth. It is also part of their buffet, and I usually have
two bowls at dinner :) all you can eat - $8.95 and they do a lunch for
less (i'm not sure of the lunch price)

Evergreen is right passed Hooters on the way to the Monroeville Mall.

 Just a satisfied soup-eater,
 Joshua
