I have tried the new Jaya off walnut street. I went both for lunch and
dinner and was quite impressed. for lunch their portion was HUGE, a
great value. Everthing i tried was very tasty. They still have alot of
traditional chinese entrees and the addition of a couple traditional
malaysian meals. their quality was very good. i would recommend Jaya
and would go back - especially for lunch.

 Try the sambal chicken.

I've been to Jaya twice so far and both my experiences have been great.
The food was excellent and the service was also very good, even though it
is a bit pricey, it's worth it. Since, I used to live in Malaysia some
years ago, I miss the foods from there and this place comes pretty close
compared to any other places that serve food from that part of the world,
 here in Pittsburgh.

Btw, my experience with Spice Island Tea House in Oakland has been very
bad. Two of my friends has some kind of food poisoning after eating
there. I think the quality of food has gone down significantly from the
time they first opened. Also, their service is pretty poor and I found
them somewhat rude. I would never go back to Spice Island again.
