Not only the least expensive, but probably the best as well. Quite
frankly, I think that some of the Mt. Washinton restaurants don't
pay much attention to the quality of their food or their service
because they know that the customers will keep coming back for the
 view.

Speaking of the view, The Grandview saloon's is pretty much the same
as any of the others. One difference though, is if you get there
early enough to beat the crowd, you can enjoy your drinks on either
 of their two outdoor balconies.

The food was great last time I was there. (It's been a while, I've
moved to the north suburbs.) One of my favorites was the
Mediterranean pizza -- sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, spices, and
olive oil. They have a lot of sandwitch, soup, and appetizer type
 food too.

It's right next door to the Mon incline (The Mon incline is the
older looking one, downriver a ways from Station Square.) There's
a public parking lot at both the top and the bottom of the Mon
incline. The upper lot tends to fill up first. If you want to
park on the street, good luck! The closest space will probably
be several blocks away, but if you're not familiar with Mt.
Washinton's maze of narrow, one-way streets, you'll probably end
up a lot farther away than that.

Oops. You have the right location, but the wrong name. The Mon Incline
is the one at Station Square. It's the Duquesne Incline that is near
 the restaurant.

It's a hike from the Mon incline to the Grandview Saloon (about a
mile) and while it may help work up an appetite, it would be a
surprise for anyone not prepared for it.

Just didn't want to see anyone wandering around down by the Mon
Incline wondering where all the restaurants were (thoughtthere are
some near the Mon, they are local hangouts like the Golden Palace and
 Redbeared's--no view!)
