Pittsburgh, PA
good and HOT wings?
It looks like everyone's neglected my two favorites:
Hotlicks - I go to the one on Walnut in Shadyside. They're
not buffalo wings, but the thick black barbeque sauce on
these is more addictive than any other sauce I've found.
Try the "Zebs Screamin' Killer Willer" sauce.
Fat Heads - A reasonably new place on Carson St. (around
18th street I think). The wings are big and well cooked,
and they have a large array of sauces to choose from.
The hottest two are habanero-based and incredibly good
tasting. Even their hottest two cayenne-based sauces
are almost hot enough, and the "Beastie Barbeque" has
a really unique, sweet flavor. Best of all, with what
is probably Pgh's best beer selection, there's plenty of
good stuff to wash 'em down with!
