I have eaten there and the food, service, atmosphere were all excellent. Worth the train ride. Steve F. wrote in message ...

I have been to the Austrian Village many times & prefer it to the Brauhaus - the Brauhaus is "fancier" with cute decor but much more expensive - I like their salads & with the bread they do give a nice little relish tray with olives and such but I think their main courses are greasy and heavy and usually fairly tasteless --- dinners at the Austrian Village are approx between $8 - $12 - it is just plain good food,I like their side dishes (you get 2 side dishes)they have good spatzle, mashed potatos, cole slaw, pickled beets etc - it's almost like a diner. Someone told me that on Saturdays they have a live band and a lady dances around with a pitcher of beer on her head - has anyone seen this??
