Hey!

Check out Pufferbelly at 414 French Street
(814-454-1557), which is in the older part of
downtown. They have one of the best Sunday brunch buffets I've had. It's a very nice restaurant in a restored, turn-of-the-century fire house. You get 20 plus items, a handful of desserts, a drink and a chef that makes omelets to order, all for around 10 bucks!

On a different note, stop in a greasy (greezey)
spoon, Taki's (sp) is a good choice, and order
something with Greek Sauce; a strange, usually
meatless chili that covers fries, burgers, dogs,
eggs, etc. and only seems to be available in Erie, although bottles of it are now showing up in Giant Eagle in the "gourmet" sauces section.

Many places also sell beer made by the Erie
Brewing Co., the best selection of which can be
found at Porters (formerly Hoppers), a beautifully restored train station, and not coincidentally, the former brewpub for EBC.

Check out Tapas which is downtown bring your own wine and they'll chill and serve it . Pufferbelly's is very good and there's a nice authentic Mexican place whose name I'll have to look up are you leaving Fri or Sat? I hear lots of good things about the restaraunts at Dobbins Landing (the end of Peach St) but can't vouce personally. Michael

I can second the motion for Tapas Bodega.

Scary enough, there is a really good restaurant fairly close to the beach called, I think, The Pittsburgh Inn. It has excellent food, and the decor is all Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh sports theme.
