 Hi,

There used to be a dim sum place at the downtown DoubleTree Chinese
restaurant, but they closed. The closest dim sum type is the one on
McKnight road, Peking Kitchen (sorry, I only remember the Chinese name, we
seems to forget its English name). It is at the beginning of the McKnight if
coming from south/pgh, on the right hand side, with a panda in front of the
restaurant. In think it is right after you pass the PoolCity/Black&Decker
service center. They have this Chinese style dim sum mixed with various
western and Chinese snacks, only on Sunday noon. They usually have about 90%
Chinese customer, so it must be good.

We ate at the place on McKnight Road last two Sunday's ago and had a terrific
lunch. I think we were the only non-Asian folks in the place which is always a
good sign. Huge selection, very fresh, and a large selection of decidedly
"authentic" items. There are some more familiar items as well for folks who
are not into authentic. My 7 year old enjoyed it as much as my husband and me.

Dumpling House in Squirrel Hill is good too, but I tend to order sushi when
 faced with a choice.
