I went there a few weeks ago without a reservation on a Thursday night and the place was almost empty. While I haven't had much Cuban food, I thought the meal was quite good. If you're in the mood for Cuban, you might also want to try Cafe Habana (on 21st St. near Chestnut). I was there about a week ago and liked it a lot too.
