I share your reactions to Cozumel. The food is not great, but the service is pretty good. I encourage you to stop in on a Saturday night. Guaracha is a great band (they also play at Rosebud on Thursdays) and everyone in the place gets up to dance. Salsa, meringue, you name it! It's great fun, and you don't have to know any of those dances to participate - just get up and "free-style!" But there are plenty of people who will teach you some basic steps, if you like. So, I guess I can overlook somewhat the food for the fact of the great entertainment.
