Thanks for all those who replied to my mail about the Chinese restaurant I was searching for in Oakland. It is called Orient Kitchen, is located at 414 Semple Street, phone # is 682-3311. I've gotten some really good comments about the food there ("authentic"; "nice subtle flavors", "try the Beef Hot Pot, Eight Treasures Hot Pot, Baked Salted Squid, Orange Beef and Roast Duck...") so we'll be going there Saturday.
