hi - things seem a bit light on this list - so i will give some thoughts on
this new restaurant. i was there for lunch a few weeks ago - so details may
be hazy. This is a recently opened place and includes western food also.
The decor was fair. Price for lunch was around $6, dinner around $12.
Drinks extra. I didnt try the western stuff as it looked a bit peaked-
but as i was there about 3pm it might have just been out too long. the
eastern selection was ok. included were some Japanese items . The thing
that sticks out in my mind were that mussels were available for lunch - not
ususal for this type of place. there were some different items including
various dumplings. a simple salad bar was included and various deserts.
however, these were scattered aound the various counters making some easy to
miss. Soft ice cream should have been available, but the machine was broken
(this was maybe a week after opening) Dinner includes more seafood dishes
and a "cook food to your order" bar, but i am hazy on the details. all in
all - i was not overly impressed. Having tried many Chinese buffets - i
still think the one on Noblestown Road (China Buffet King) is the best, with
the one on Forbes in Oakland second. Anyone else have comments on this.
