Check out Herb's!

One of the joys of having moved to Ligonier is being close to Herb's, a
 quirky little hole-in-the-wall
in Jenner Crossroads, PA (about 6-8 miles east of Ligonier on Rt 30).
 Herb's specializes in seafood,
 especially steamed hard shell crabs.

We're not talking fancy surroundings or presentation, just good food. The
 fried shrimp are
exemplary, the Maryland style crab soup and chowders are wonderful, and
 the steamed crabs
are out of this world. Pull up a chair, order a dozen (any combination of
 large, small & jumbo
males and females may be available, depending on the market) and a pitcher
 of beer, and get
to it. Sides are standard - fries, baked potatoes, tossed salad, coleslaw
 (which is excellent), and
 the ubiquitous canned green beans.

I imagine that if you have a large group and call ahead, Pearl (owner and
 wife of the late
Herb) will accomodate you by getting extra crabs. It's in the 814 area
 code and directory
assistance ought to be able to help you.

 Check it out!

 night at Herb's!)
