I used to work and live in Bucks County Pa and have a few suggestions for you. The Cock-N-Bull restturaunt in Peddlers village has some good country dishes. They are noted for their chicken pot pie and beef burgundy (which is served in a loaf of bread)! They have a great hot apple dumpling with creamy vanilla sauce. A Must if you are going to peddlers village. Make reservations. The restaurant is very clean- I used to work there 10 years ago. "Mothers" in New Hope is very good. I used to eat there often. There was always a wait to get in there because the food was always so good! I haven't been there in years but it is probably still there. Another place that was always good was the Lambertville station. This is a remodeled train station made into a modern restaurant with a dance floor. This is right across the bridge in Lambertville New Jersey.New Hope pa and Lambertville NJ connect by a bridge. Their house salad dressing was always the best! Doylestown has some good restaurants. I'm sure some have changes names in the last 10 years but there was a superb one the corner of 413 and 611. I can't remember the name of it- It begins with a "c". It was always so good -it probably is still there. If you have time go to the Bucks Country Winery. They have a small tour and wine tasting. I used to buy many bottles of Holiday Spice Wine there. Their Country Rose' is well noted and delicious. Well now I'm getting hungry just thinking of all the spots I used to dine in. Hope you have a good trip!-Cora

Bucks County Pa dining
Although I now live in North Carolina I remember -- with a great sense of loss -- going to Wildflowers on Mechanic Street in New Hope. It's not top drawer, it's not haute cuisine but it is a neat place with simple and INEXPENSIVE dishes. Ask to chat with Martin, the owner, and Marilyn, the waitress. We went there each time went to the Bucks County Playhouse. My wife and I love the place. We hope that you will also. Tell them Dave from North Carolina (formerly from NJ) sent you.
