brewpub in Oakland?

: The Fuel and Fuddle has house beers. It is located on Oakland Avenue
: near Forbes Avenue in the spot where Calico's used to be.

F&F is a wonderful addition to eating in Oakland. it's the only place
I know of nearby that knows what balsamic vinegar is, knows that "mixed
greens" doesn't mean white and brown iceberg, etc. they have a reasonable
selection of beer, including guiness on tap. they have a wood-fired
oven, and pretty good pizza dough, but they should take a field trip
to the left coast for some pointers on toppings. they also have someone
who actually enjoys making soup, apparently from scratch! _with_ good
results, too! definitely not generic stuff like hemingways.

 not a brewpub, though.
