Portland (OR) Recommendations?

Thai:
Thai Orchid, 2231 W Burnside St, out on the edge of downtown. Thai Peacock, 219 SW 9th Ave, just south of Burnside

Mexican:
Cafe Azul, 112 NW 9th Ave (just blocks away from the Thai Peacock)

Indian:
Swagat Indian Cuisine, 2074 NW Lovejoy St, not downtown.  Take a taxi up there and enjoy anyway.

Plainfield's Mayur Restaurant, 852 SW 21st Ave, past outer edge of downtown PDX, near the baseball park. Taste of India, 950 SW Washington Gandhi's, 827 SW Second Taj Mahal, 1135 SW Morrison

These oughta keep you going for a little while.

If you want CHEAP, but good Thai, there's Aroy Thai on 4th and Washington.  No atmosphere but good.  Packed at lunchtime.

There's also Typhoon (not cheap though, but good) at two locations, one on Broadway and Stark and the other on 23rd.  Take the Street Car or a cab to 23rd.  It's a nightmare to find parking.

Another *cheap* mexican place is Maya's Tacqueria.  Again, not much atomosphere but good.  It's on 10th and Morrison.

If you want Spanish (Tapas) there is Fernando's Hideway on 2nd and I think, Yamhill.

Mediterrian food - Abu Karim on Stark and 3rd I believe.
