I live in Eugene and have no idea what the PDX area is. Are you around Beaverton and the high tech area? If so that is not so far from Woodburn and that is the place to go for Mexican food in Oregon. There's a real Mexican enclave there. Hardly any English spoken here. Cinco de Mayo is coming up. Their celebration is not much of anything, but if you want to see Mexicans, it's the place to go. In Eugene, try Hildas and Cafe Navarro for Latin-inspired food. Zenon is good for anything. I don't know Portland. Hope you find some good food.

One of the best mexican restaurants in the PDX area is Yeatsy's Mexicana in Lake Oswego (mercantile village-boones ferry and kruse way) Have been going there for years and the food is always good! Steak in all the dishes-not burger meat.
