Not far from I-80 exits is the town of Niles, Ohio (exit at Rt. 422 in Girard and go north a few miles). Niles has several good restaurants (on the strip). Many of them decent Italian places owned by locals. Alberinis (pricy now), Fiore's, the Cafe 422, Jimmy Chieffo's. I grew up in that area and still enjoy going out to eat when I visit. A new place with really fine food at reasonable prices is called Vernons. It is on 422 just before you reach the area known as the strip. If you want some good hot dogs with the best chili sauce and fresh cut french fries, just off the I-80/rt 422 exit in Girard, Ohio is the Jib Jab hot dog shop. This is an off shoot of a legendary hot dog shop, called "The Hot Dog shop" from Warren, Ohio. All the locals know about it and eat their regularly.
Ohio
