Ever since Old Austria on Center Ridge closed years ago, I've been lookinf for German restaurants, too. I haven't been to the Black Forest recently, but I do know that they have adopted a more "continental" menu and hve changed names to A Taste of Europe. The only other German place I know that I'd be willing to recommend is Henry Wahner's in Kent, across 59 from the campus. Some good German items, huge steaks and prime rib.
