Favorite burger in town?

I was going to title this "Best burger", but "best" is too subjective.
"Favorite" implies personal.

So, as an informal survey, what is you favorite burger in town? I read
the burger survey published in Sunday Magazine some time ago. The place you like the best may not have even appeared on the list.

  My favorite:
The "Big Country" at "The Country Grill", E. 65th and Harvard Ave.
The Country Grill, which has been there for over 20 years, was originally a Red Barn. The Big Country is their version of the extinct "Big Barney", and is currently priced at 2/$2.

The best burger I've had in Cleveland was probably at Around the Corner in Lakewood. They also have the best wings, by the way. The beer is expensive but well worth it. I think the Rascal House by CSU also has good burgers (the back part with the bar).

The mecca for burgers is definitely Los Angeles, where greasy Greek-owned burger joints abound.

Northeast Ohio's burger mecca is definitely the Akron area. How could you not like an area that has Swenson's, Hamburger Station and SkyWay?

I've always wondered why the Big Three burger places in Akron never tried to crack the Cleveland market.

I vote for Beardens on Lake Road in Rocky River.
A family type resturant. good service, reasonable prices and they even saute their oinions.

P.S. Maybe Dan Brown can tell us where he gets his rutabaga flavored burgers. (Just Kidding)

The Winking Lizard in Peninsula gets my vote. (There's also a Lizard branch in one of the eastern 'burbs, but I've never been there.) Quite the scenic trip to get there, too: follow the Metroparks east to Riverview Road, turn south, hit 303 and spit to your left. Your spit will meet the Lizard.

Not only are their burgers good, but every single food product I've had there is superior, Peninsula is a beautiful community, and you can get there without leaving the park. It makes for a great date!

My favorite burger is from Fast Eddies on Pearl Road, about 5 blocks south of Brookpark (left side). The restaurant specializes in gourmet burgers of all sorts, from Mushroom Spinach burgers to Pizza Burgers. My favorite burger has to be the Reuben Burger, which is about a half pound of beef with russian dressing and sour-kraut piled on top of grilled Jewish Rye bread. To go along with your burger, they have the most orgasmic Onion rings, sliced, dipped and fried fresh for you when you order.

OOOOoooooo. Swenson's Galley Boy is the best. It's a "better Big Mac than the Big Mac..."

I also like Yours Truly. Unfortunately the closest one to my house (Mayfield Village) packed up and moved south...

My sister, who knows all, says the following:

> tofu burger with cheeze. Tommy's is located on Coventry in Cleveland

> boys are two-fisted fellas, definately juicy, and made anyway you want.
> Toppings range from traditional ketchup and lettuce to pineapple. Yum!

Though she speaks of the "best" burger, it should be clear that she is merely speaking her opinions.
