A real good place to try is the Winds Cafe in Yellow Springs OH. Yellow Springs OH is approximately 20 minutes from downtown Dayton and about 60 minutes from Cincinnati. Yellow Springs, alone, is worth the trip!

I'll second that emotion about the Winds! There is a wonderful Spanish/Cuban/Caribbean restaurant in West Carrolton (just south of Dayton) called El Meson. I highly recommend it. Kitty's in downtown Dayton is pretty good. It has a Meditteranean theme. Other Dayton restaurants I like:

Jay's - Oregon District/seafood
Treasure Island - excellent chops! off the beaten path. Little Saigon - yes, it's Vietnamese! Pine Club - Steak, and a Dayton institution Oakwood Club - steaks, chops, and excellent prime rib The Savory - just south of town and excellent Amber Rose - Polish/Lithuanian and other Central/Eastern European dishes in Old North Dayton Dominic's - near Miami Valley Hospital - the garlic house dressing will blow your mind! The Golden Nugget Pancake House - the best breakfast you will ever have in your life.

Hope you enjoy! Let me know where you ate and what you thought of it.

Chris
