   Hi Mike,

The answer is there isn' any in West Carolina !! If you would like to eat traditional NC bbq head East young man. Pete Jones' Skylight Inn in Ayden.( whole hog , beautiful bits of crispy skin too! ) Some awsome home cookin' at Mitchells BBQ in Wilson, bbq isn't that great. Not bad q at Wilbers in Goldsboro. They actually put (sigh) ketchup on that stuff in the West. Watch where you go, because many of the joints don't even cook with wood any more. Yup, they still call it bbq. Don't know what the worlds come to these days. Don't use whole hogs, don't cook with wood, and of all things they ues ketchup....... and still call it bbq?? Sorry I didn't have a better answer for you,
                   Michele
ps I have heard from a lot of people that Stameys is bad, even for the West. Clarks was ok, the flirty waitresses were a lot better than the q.
