I have yet to find a really great sushi bar in this area - on a par with the better places in, say, San Francisco or New York. You can get quote good sushi, however. Sushi Yoshi in Chapel Hill is good, as is Kyoto is Durham. Yamazushi in the park is disappointing.

IMHO Kashin is by far the best. Comparable to the restaurants I have been to in Japan. The food has never failed to be fresh and the atmosphere is always inviting. Call ahead for a reservation.

In my opinion Little Tokyo is a bit tacky and I was a bit turned off the last time I was there when we shared our meal with an uninvited roach.

Sushi Yoshi has been good the 2 times I have eaten there. The first time on the way out I noticed their sanitition rating was a B!!! but they were rated an A (92) when a friend convinced me to give them another try a few weeks ago.

My wife got ill after eating a Yamazushi in the park 2 years ago and we have not been back so I cant say if its any good.

Havent been to Kyoto or Kanki... Id be interested in hearing opinions on the sushi in those places.

Harashimasai,(??)
