I called it "North Carolina" because that's where I had it. I'm talkin' Thirty years ago, while stationed at Fort Bragg. The BBQ sandwich was Shredded Pork. There was NO tomato anything in it, not even a red spice, but there WAS..... That Vinegar-like flavor, that has stayed in my mind for years. It is ONE of the few good memories of my time in the Army. Funny thing is, I didn't get those sandwiches in Fayetteville (just outside Fort Bragg) but, in Wilson and Henderson and a few other towns. Great Memory..... that I'd like to experience again..... BUT I do not want to go back to North Carolina. The mere thought of Fort Bragg sickens me. I'm new here, so don't flame me if recipes are not exchanged in this Newsgroup. Just point me in the right direction, and I'll be on my way. LAB........TYD ((( -John- ))) [email removed]
