Having heard that Mi Tierra (on Atlantic at Milbrook) is now open, I decided to eat dinner there yesterday before my 6:30-9:30 class. Unfortunately I had had lunch late, so my appetite was not what it usually would have been (so, probably, making me more critical than usual). I really enjoyed it. I arrived around 5:30. At that time, there were only 4 or 5 other patrons present. I was greeted at the door and showed immediately to a table. Salsa and chips were good (mixed yellow, red, and blue corn for the chips; the salsa was mild but very flavorful); about the time I got halfway down the bowl of salsa, the waitress asked me, "Would you like some more?" For dinner, since I had had a late lunch, I made my order simple: I had a beef burrito (very good, real shredded beef, not ground), which came with green rice (which I'd not had before; interesting...) and refried beans. All this was very nicely presented. My waitress described the desserts--I was too full to partake, but I'll be back to explore them! Overall: attentive and friendly staff, excellent food, nice presentation, good value, reasonable ambiance (they're still working on parts of that, I think--they were working on some of the lights while I was there). I approve. Carlie J. Coats, Jr. [email removed] MCNC Environmental Programs phone: (919)248-9241 North Carolina Supercomputing Center fax: (919)248-9245 3021 Cornwallis Road P. O.
