Not upscale, but definetly good food. Hudson's. It's actually an old oyster processing building. Sits right on the Intercoastal. Recently featured on "Best Of" on Food TV. I ate there a number of years ago and have nothing but raves.

Their are three restaurants on Squire Pope Road which next to Hilton Head Plantation. Hudson's, Charles Crab and the superior Boat House, which is actually next to a big boat storage building. Expect excellent food and beautiful decor. If it's open, you must sit outside!
