My favorite sort-of fast food restaurant in Durham is the International House (or International something) on 9th St. It's in the Duke Univ. area and is surrounded by lots of interesting stores and restaurants. This restaurant is Middle Eastern and the owners are Palestinian. All the food is fresh, they make their own pastries, and they are friendly. Lots of meals on Pita. Stuffed grape leaves. Kibbe.
