This statement could have been more meaningful if the other places of comparison (if there were any) had been identified and if the dishes sampled had been identified. For example, I like the 35 in Cary better than the one in Chapel Hill. The buffet table seems to be better attended and the wait staff is more attentive and more pleasant in Cary. I haven't noticed a lot of difference in the food, though the 35 in Chapel Hill has sushi selections and the one in Cary did not when I was last there. It has been too long since I dined at the 35 in North Hills to make a fair comparison. How does Sally compare just the three 35's?

Actually, my husband and I went to the 35 in Chapel Hill just 2 weeks ago (the weekend before the original post regarding the labelled eggplant), and had the buffet. We thought it was great! Our favourite restaurant until then was Neo-China, and now we like 35 just as much! Our favourite dish was the dumplings (so good!). Aaron liked the general tso's chicken and their sesame chicken (I thought their sauces were good, but that the meat/batter were a little tough), and I was immensely impressed with their sweet & sour shrimp (I *know* that sounds crazy; usually I scoff at sweet and sour anything, but their batter was so light and hot and crispy that it seemed like it was shrimp tempura! Yumm).

We tried as many things as we could fit on our plates, and went back for more. Our waitress was extremely polite, and never let our water glasses get below half-full. I am surprised at the bad experience with the wait-staff and management, but I do like their food quite a bit more than other chinese restaurants.

Best wishes,
Heidi
