<<Try looking at the restaurants at the Culinary Instutite of America.>> We've eaten at the CIA many times....our son is a grad. The food can run hot & cold. With that in mind, I'd opt for the least expensive of their restaurants...St. Andrews Cafe. It's also the one that serves the most heart-healthy food. The last time we had dinner at St. Andrews it was wonderful and there was live jazz accompanying the meal.

The ones that are open on Saturday (AB and Escoffier) are not really mid-range and getting a Saturday reservation for next month is going to be impossible at this point. I think one question that needs to be answered is, what direction is he heading in after the game? The CIA is out of the way if he is heading back to NYC or NJ. I would recommend Restaurant X in Congers, it's a Peter Kelly (of Xavier's) place that's fairly good. It's probably a little more expensive than he wants, but good. There's also Legal Sea Food at the Palisades Center down in West Nyack, but he didn't want a chain.
