west of town that was very good. They had a piano player in the bar room who was a lot of fun and the food was also great. This was 5 or 6 years ago, however, so I'm not even sure if it is still there.

Scallions on Broadway does have good food. Also, you might want to try Wheatfield, also on Broadway, great homemade pasta and good atmosphere, although sometimes the service can be slow.

Also look for Hatties, very well done Southern cooking and pleaseant surroundings, I believe it's on Caroline St., one of the many interesting side streets off Broadway (the main drag). Also look for Sperry's and Sam's 95 (GREAT Italian). If you just take the time to wander around some of the many side streets, you'll find all kinds of interesting things. There's a new brew pub, as well.

If you haven't been to Saratoga before, be prepared for the crowds during the racing season.

We reside near Albany, NY and don't get to Saratoga as often as we should, it truly is a beautiful part of the world. If you want more info, please contact me.

Have a great vacation!!

Scallions is ok. It depends on what you like. The Wishing Well is good for steaks, Eartha's Kitchen and 43 Phila are excellent and ecclectic, Hattie's Chicken Shack is great southern fried chicken. Wheatberry's makes their own pasta. Professor Moriarity's patio is a great place to eat and watch people. Finally Siro's directly next to the race track is only open during August and it is run by a chef from Maui. The food is very good, if a little pricey.
